Karen has obtained rich experience in the field of trademark acquisitions and non-litigation administrative cases (including but not limited to strategic trademark filings, trademark oppositions, invalidations, three-year non-use cancellations, refusal appeals, etc.) and trademark administrative litigations. Karen also practices IP infringement matters by working closely with local AIC and PSB for possible raid actions, engaging in civil litigations for trademark infringement, unfair competition and copyright infringement, etc.
Having the experience of acting as IP counsel in the world’s leading company on secondment also gives Karen a unique way of thinking when dealing with legal issues for clients. With the ability to think as a lawyer and an in-house counsel, Karen manages to provide thorough legal advice and risk management advice to client with various demands. Karen also handles contractual and compliance matters for individuals, start-up companies and large enterprises in different industries.
Most notably Karen has worked in a trademark infringement dispute between AmorePacific Corporation v Shanghai Weierya Cosmetic Co., Ltd, , representing the plaintiff.
